フロントマンでありソングライターであるロディ・フレームが率いるアズテック・カメラは、1983年にインディーレーベルでアルバム『High Land, Hard Rain』をリリース、1984年にWEAから『Knife』でメジャー・デビューしました。この度リリースされた『Backwards and Forwards』は、アズテック・カメラがWEA在籍時にリリースした5枚のアルバム、複数のヒット・シングル、リミックス、ライブ、オルタナティブ・バージョン、インタビューを収録しています。
